FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a program designed to introduce middle and high school students from 7th trough 12 grade to the world of robotics and engineering. FTC students have the opportunity to design, build, operate, and code a new robot every year. Teams compete at local and regional events, and the season culminates in a World Championship where teams from around the world come together to showcase their robots and compete for awards.
Our 5 FTC Teams, 17011, 18121, 20166, 20195, and 21743 are given an unique opportunity to develop their technical skills and gain real-world experience. Students get hands-on practice with engineering concepts such as mechanics, electronics, programming, and control systems, with guidance and support by our adult and student mentors. FTC has something for everyone, so there are also plenty of opportunities to develop other skills including, teamwork, strategy, public speaking, outreach, and marketing.
